Chinas new offshore "green oil field" completed put into operation

On March 15, we learned CNOOC that Caofeidian 6-4 oilfield, a new offshore "green Oilfield" in China, was officially put into operation. The oilfield development project includes 30 production wells, it is expected that the peak annual output will reach 750000 square meters in 2023, which can meet the gasoline consumption of more than 600000 domestic vehicles in one year. It is one of the important development projects of Bohai oilfield striving to build a large domestic crude oil production base.

Caofeidian 6-4 oilfield is a new model for the development of "green oil field" at sea in China. Caofeidian 6-4 oilfield is introduced into shore power project. After putting into operation, it will supply power for life production of the oilfield through power network. Compared with the previous platform equipped with fuel power generation engine, it is expected that the crude oil consumption of the fuel engine will be reduced by 11000 tons per year, the energy saving is about 16000 tons of standard coal per year, equivalent to reducing the carbon dioxide emission of 40000 tons, reducing carbon dioxide is equivalent to planting 4million trees.
